This time of year we all love making jack o’ lanterns out of pumpkins. They are great but they also are messy, time consuming and perishable. These creations are cheap, clean, long lasting and best of all are great fun to make.
You need a few things for this project all of which are simple to get your hands on. You will need four glasses, you can use some old ones if you have some spare. For the decoration we will need some painters tape to create your pumpkins face, some orange spray paint and some LED candle lights.
Make sure you are in a well ventilated area, cover nearby areas with cloths to protect them from spray. Clean your glasses using soap and water and then allow them to dry. Take your painters tape and use it to crate your pumpkins eyes, nose and mouth, if you want specific shapes you can use scissors but tearing works just as well. When you have your shapes stick them on to your glass to make your face, make sure that you firmly push the tape on to the glass and it fully sticks on to the glass surface.
Next, prepare your orange paint as per the manufacturers instructions. As you are spraying hold the can around ten inches from your glasses to stop the paint running, after a couple of minutes apply a further coat of paint. When you have fully covered the glasses allow the paint to dry for two hours.
When your paint has dried remove the painters tape from your glasses. You should now have your spooky face and bright orange glasses. The final stage to complete the effect is to put your LED lights in the bottom of the glasses.
Now you have some beautiful spooky home made Jack O’ Lantern glasses and some fantastic decorations for Halloween.
