Scope of Works
A new client approached us following a recommendation and asked us to address some issues of extensive damage to roller doors at the National Grid Substation in Canterbury. The damage consisted of several dents, holes and scratches to the doors at both ground and high level.
Method & Special Requirements
Several areas of damage were at height which made it necessary for our on-site team to use a cherry picker to access them.
All Buckingham Coatings operatives hold International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) accreditations so the cladding remedial work was administered at the necessary heights safely and responsibly without any disturbance to the hospital’s day-to-day operations.
Door repair work in exceptional conditions
Due to the sensitive nature of this site, this project required an exceptional regard for safety due to the conditions in which our team was working.
The Buckingham Coatings team not only had to negotiate a close working relationship with other contractors, but also National Grid staff involved in the substations day to day running.
Colour-matched door respray
We coated the repaired door with a paint respray in the RAL colour provided by the client to give a seamless finish.
The client was extremely pleased with the end result and we were delighted to see how the repair had blended in perfectly with the rest of the door.
